Volunteers Needed for Borough Boards
OPEN SPACE COMMITTEE
Perkasie Borough Council is seeking volunteers for an Open Space Committee. This Committee will work with the Bucks County Planning Commission to update the Borough open space plan. The Committee expects to meet once a month and it is expected the work will take 1 1/2 years to complete the plan. It has been recommended that the committee be composed of representatives from both the Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Board, since some of the open space could be used for recreational activities. The Borough also hopes to get residents interested in the future of the Borough's open space involved. See below for information on how to apply!
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE BOARD OF APPEALS
Perkasie Borough Council is also seeking five residents interested in volunteering to serve on the Property Maintenance Code Board of Appeals for Perkasie Borough. Experience in one of the desired fields is requested: registered architect or builder or superintendent of building construction with 10 years experience, registered structural engineer or professional with architectural experience, registered mechanical or plumbing engineer experience or mechanical or plumbing contractor with 10 years experience, registered electrical engineer experience or an electrical contractor with 10 years experience, registered fire protection engineer or a fire protection contractor with 10 years experience. A more detailed list of qualifications is available at the Borough Office.
The Appeals Board will serve an important quasi-judicial function in the Borough, but is not expected to meet more than a few times per year. Apply now. YOUTH DELEGATE TO THE PARK AND RECREATION BOARDPerkasie Borough Council is seeking a High School Junior or Senior for appointment as a Youth Delegate to the Park & Recreation Board. Applicants must be:
Appointees shall serve a term of office concurrent with the school year. Youth Delegates are encouraged to participate in all public discussions, but may not vote. In addition to the opportunity to provide input on a variety of matters that come before the Park & recreation Board, a Youth Delegate will be able to gain familiarity with local government operations.
