Fee Schedule

1. BUILDING FEES

In addition to the fees below, all building and construction permits will include a $4.00 administrative and enforcement fee.

Single and/or Multi Family Dwelling Unit | Basic fee-$500.00 per dwelling unit to 1000 square feet*; plus $ .20 per square foot thereafter

Additions/Garages/Accessory Buildings | Basic Fee-$125.00*; plus $ .15 per square foot, all areas

* Area calculations shall be made using outside dimensions of construction for all usable areas (per floor) including patios, decks, porches, basements, crawl spaces, and garages.

Alterations/Repairs | $100.00 plus $.20 per square foot

Demolition | Buildings and structures containing:

6,000 cubic feet or less | No permit or fee
6,000 to 50,000 cubic feet | $ 75.00
In excess of 50,000 cubic feet | $125.00

No fee will be charged for any demolition carried out in conjunction with new construction at the same location and for which a building permit has been issued.

Roof Permit | $25.00 for the 1st $1,000.00 of valuation; $10.00 for every $1,000.00 of valuation thereafter.

Swimming Pools | In ground - $200.00 and Above ground $ 80.00

Wood Decks/Patios | Basic Fee - $50.00 plus $.10 per square foot

Sign Permits | $50.00

Electrical Permits | Basic Fee - $15.00 for first $100.00 of valuation; $5.00 for every $100.00 of valuation thereafter, up to but not to exceed $35.00

Electric Agency Registration and Electric Underwriting Agency Registration | $100.00 per agency

Plumbing Permits | $60.00 up to three (3) fixtures, plus $7.50 per fixture thereafter

Mechanical Permits | $50.00 for the 1st $1,000 in valuation, $15.00 for every 1,000.00 in valuation thereafter, not to exceed $150.00.

Certificates of Occupancy | Single Family Home - $60.00, Additions - $40.00

Fireplaces | Masonry - $50.00, Factory Built (woodstoves) - $50.00

Re-inspection Fees | $60.00 per inspection, charged to permit holder, beginning with third inspection due to improper work; second inspection due to incompleteness of work

Nonresidential | New - Basic fee $400.00 plus $ .25 per square foot plus $100.00 use and occupancy permit per unit within building, Alterations - $600.00 for first 1000 square foot ; $175.00 per 1000 square foot additional

Commercial Use and Occupancy Permit/Change of Ownership | $150.00

Penalty Fee | In the event construction is started without first obtaining the required permits, the applicable fees will be increased by 100%.

Regular Trash

Disposal containers are to be plastic "Perkasie Borough" trash bags at the cost of:

Large Trash Items

Large trash items (excluding all items that contain Freon) | $10.00

These “fee for collection” items include the following, and other similar large items:

Washing Machines, Wood Stoves, Riding Lawn Mowers, Dryers, Trash Compactors, Dishwashers, Hot Water Heaters, Air Compressors, Microwave Ovens, Humidifiers, Electric Generators, Ice Boxes, Stoves (gas or electric), Snow Blowers

Pool Rental

During Hours Party

Are you thinking of throwing a party, but the idea of cleaning up afterwards is overwhelming? Eliminate the mess and confusion at your house - Menlo Aquatics Center is available. Includes pool pass for 50 guests for a three hour time period time period. Pool is limited to 2 parties a day. 12 pm - 3 pm, 4 pm - 7 pm. Reservations can be made starting May 5, 2008 at Menlo Aquatics Center. Availability varies.

Private Parties

Menlo Aquatics Center is available for private rental (after hours) beginning May 31, 2008 - September 1, 2008 to individuals , clubs, organizations, etc. for graduation parties, birthday parties, family reunions, company picnics, etc. Includes pool passes for all guests, staff, and picnic tables. One large pool is available for private parties. Bring your own refreshments, the Snack Bar will not be open. Private parties are limited to Friday and Saturday nights from 8:00 - 11:00 pm. 6. PARK AND RECREATION FEES

Field Rental
Are you interested in reserving a field for your team for the day or the entire season? Field rental dates are first come first reserve. Pick up a rental form at Borough Hall and forwarded to the Director of Parks and Recreation. A copy of your teams insurance must be included. Cost for softball fields are $30.00 per team for the season. If lights are needed for the field the cost is $15.00 per game and for a double header it is $25.00 per game. Pavilion
For 3 hours the cost is $25.00 with a $25.00 deposit.
For 4-8 hours the rental fee is $50.00 with a deposit of $25.00.
For non-profit groups for 3 hours the cost is $10.00, $25.00 deposit.
4-8 hours non-profit is $20.00 and a $25.00 deposit.
Rental dates are on a first come, first serve, first pay. Hours for rentals are dawn to dusk. Sorry no after hour parties and we do not hold dates For more information call 215-257-5065.

All labor shall be billed at the employee’s hourly rate plus 35%. (The 35% will cover benefits and administrative fees.

14. CLAIMS, MUNICIPAL - Delinquent Account Collection Fees

(pursuant to Ordinance #832)

A. Preparation and filing of Municipal Liens | $75.00.

B. Attorney’s fees incurred in the collection of delinquent accounts including, but not limited to, District Justice and/or Common Pleas actions | $95.00 Per Hour.

C. Additionally, the owner shall be responsible for all costs of collection in addition to attorney’s fees including, but not limited to, filing fees and court fees as may be paid by the Borough.
