Public Works

The Borough of Perkasie operates its own trash and recycling collection program, maintains an extensive park system including a bike path, and maintains borough owned streets and properties through the Public Works department.

The recycling program began in 1988 and has been a model for many communities nationwide. Perkasie uses a pay-as-you-throw system for household refuse. Streets within the borough limits but not owned by Perkasie Borough are Constitution Avenue, Walnut Street from Constitution to the Hilltown Township line, Callowhill Street beyond Main Street, and Blooming Glen from 5th Street to the East Rockhill Township line.
