Leaf Collection
UPDATE: 12/6/23
Leaf collection will soon come to an end in Perkasie Borough. The last day for residents to place their leaves curbside for pick-up will be Sunday, December 10, 2023.
Weather permitting, Public Works crews will make their final rounds of collection during the week of December 11th. The final day for leaf collection will be Friday, December 15, 2023. Residents shall not place leaves out for collection after this date, as they will cause a problem for snow removal. Residents could face possible fines per the Borough’s Zoning Ordinance.
Residents are reminded about the yard waste drop-off at the Borough Recycling Center at 311 S. 9th Street where leaves can be dropped off after December 15th.
The Borough will be scheduling a Spring leaf collection program and the date for that collection will be announced in March, 2024.
- Leaf piles should be free of rocks, large sticks or other debris which can damage the vacuum equipment.
- Do not block storm drains with the piles of leaves.
- Do not park cars on top of leaf piles. No call backs if we are unable to collect leaves because of parked cars.
Perkasie's leaves are transported to local DEP certified composting sites where they are turned into compost and mulch.
Please contact the Public Works Department, 215-257-6860, with any questions about the Borough's leaf collection program.
