On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc. will begin milling and paving on South 2nd Street, from W. Walnut Street to W. Market Street. Work should finish on Friday, October 24th, weather permitting.
Work will begin each day around 6:00 am and will finish by 6:00 pm. No street parking will be allowed when Blooming Glen is working but will be permitted once the work is finished.
Road closures will be in effect. Road work in front of the businesses will be first each morning to allow access during normal business hours. Buses will be allowed through for pick-up and drop-off.
This work is part of the Borough’s 2025 Road Program. The work will consist of the milling of 1.5-inches of existing asphalt followed by the replacement of 1.5-inches of new asphalt within S. 2nd Street from W. Walnut Street to W. Market Street. The work will also consist of the reconstruction of the accessible parking area on W. Market Street at the entrance to the tennis courts.
Blooming Glen will make an effort to allow access to the Borough parking lot located at 2nd and Market by the Kulp Park tennis courts, but parking is extremely limited. Parking is restricted during the day at the Borough parking lot located at 2nd and Chestnut St.
Kulp Park users should access the park through the trail system by parking at the Borough lot located at the intersection of South 2nd Street and Walnut Street at the Pennridge Little League Complex in Lenape Park and accessing the trail at the corner of Walnut Street and Constitution Ave.
